San Diego County Halloween 2012 Do-It-Yourself Costumes
Halloween is just a few days and like many people, I look forward to dressing up in weird attires without getting Are-You-Crazy stares. Although there are many costumes that you can buy, nothing beats “Do It Yourself” ones. Not only will your friends be thrilled but you’ll save money! Here are ideas for cheap but fun Costumes for San Diego County Halloween 2012.
Home Made Monster Bodily Fluids
Halloween costumes require something yucky to achieve that scary look. You don’t have to go buy these since you can whip them up in your kitchen. Fake blood can be made by mixing 3 cups of corn syrup with 5 drops red and 1 drop green food dye while puke can be guacamole. You then wear those torn clothes that you were about to throw out and smear these disgusting yet delicious blood and puke all over you. Asides from being part of your costumes for the San Diego County Halloween 2012, these can be used for party foods!
Aaaahhhhh!! POP STARS!
Today’s musicians have appearances perfect for San Diego County Halloween 2012. For the ladies, copying Lady Gaga is as easy as putting soda cans in your hair as if they were rollers and using a black plastic bag as a tutu. Katy Perry on the other hand has colorful hair (you can wear a wig or dye your hair) and put an ensemble of rainbow clothes (think 80’s) with candies and fruits sown into the fabric. Meanwhile, men can be their own boy bands since they’re becoming the fad again. The key would be to copy their hairdos while you pick out clothes that resemble theirs in your closet. Put on name tags just to be sure people get it. Have your friends help you, as you can’t be a boy band if you’re only one! (Remember, One Direction has 5 members)
Social Media Inspiration
A clever but inexpensive idea for Costumes for San Diego County Halloween 2012 is a play on the names of Social Media websites. Facebook (put your face through a book), Twitter (blue cardboard beak and wings), Linked In (something with chains) and the list goes on (you might want to skip Pinterest though, OUCH!) Another idea is to make a cardboard replica of a page, say the FB wall and put your face where the profile picture usually goes. This would certainly make everyone laugh!
