Summer weekends in San Diego are the best time to have a fun-filled day under the sun. Although you might be wondering, what can you do after the sun goes down? Easy! Head on over to the Embarcadero Marina Park South on San Diego Bay and experience several memorable nights full of excellent music at the Summer Pops 2012.
Sumer Pops 2012 is an outdoor concert series brought to us by the Ashford University. It actually started last Fourth of July weekend but don’t worry since it will run until Labor Day. It features the San Diego Symphony with Matthew Garbutt as the Principal Conductor and numerous terrific acts like Neil Sedaka, The Temptations and Wilson Phillips. They also have special performances such as The Music of Michael Jackson, Pirates of The Caribbean and The Legend of Zelda (a perfect match for The San Diego Comic Con 2012).
Many seating choices are available for Sumer Pops 2012: cabaret tables, grandstand seating with fold-down chairs and lawn seating as general admission. The concerts begin at 7:30 (unless otherwise noted). The subscription concerts are held on Friday and Saturday while Special Concerts are performed on Thursdays and Saturdays. For more information, visit the official Summer Pops 2012 page.
